Day 38: Colorful Food

Ok, so I officially hate my camera on my phone.
Evan and I had dinner at Ember at Snowshoe, and his plate was the prettiest I have ever seen. That's a blackberry rice, a purple cabbage slaw and buffalo medallions. Although on here it looks not so appetizing. Evan says it was one of the best meals he's ever, ever had. It was a nice dinner.

Day 37: The Wedding

Day 35: On the Cob

Day 33: Sneaky

I had a photo shoot today for a repeat client (yay!) and got this very cute picture of one of the little guys making a very sneaky face.

Day 31: Just a little swim.

Today I was quite sick, so Evan took Mason down to the pool for a little swim. I did manage a couple photos from the balcony.

Day 30: In a pickle

Today, we learned that Mason really, really likes pickles.

Day 29: Daytime

And this was the view from our condo in the daytime. Beautiful!

Day 28: Nighttime!

This was my first attempt at a night photo. We got to Smith Mountain Lake on Thursday evening, and this was the view from our balcony. Beautiful.
Now, the photo is a bit blurry because I didn't have my tripod. But at least I've got exposure figued out, no?

Day 27: The Poo(L)

So this evening (being Wednesday, although I'm not posting these until the following Monday), Matthew and Jenna came for a visit. They found that by throwing Harley's favorite piece of gravel (for the day) in the pool (or Poo as Mason calls it), Harley would perch on the edge and obsess. It was a fun game.

Day 26: Thanks, Food Network

I thought I hadn't taken a photo today, but alas - I took a picture of the TV while watching Food Network. I liked it, so I kept it.

Day 25: Garbage Can Man

Mason likes to take the trash can in the living room (which has only held paper, I assure you) and put it on his head. To achieve this very artistic effect in a photo, simply try shooting in manual while bouncing a baby on your lap and underexposing by approximately six stops and then attempt to adjust using Raw and the exposure adjustment in Photoshop because by the time the camera is set correctly, subject wasn't looking any longer. :-) (If that made sense to you, kudos.)

Day 24: Method

I love Method cleaning products. In fact, I've switched to Method for nearly all the cleaning products in my house (except the dishwasher detergent, because Method is simply not up to par yet in this category). Anyway, today I got to clean and organize our bedroom. Finally. And that included some serious dusting, made pleasurable by my awesome almond-scented Wood For Good cleaner.

Day 23: Petunia

Featuring one of the few flowering plants I haven't managed to kill: The petunia in my Down Under Pot planter.

Day 22: Bliss

This happened while both babies were asleep. What more could a mom ask for?

Day 21: Vroom, vroom

Poppy was driving Mason in his car, and liked to take him through the big fountain grass. Mason enjoyed it!

Day 20: Ottoman

We went to the (new) Brownfield's apartment this evening for Evan to help paint, and I put Sydney down in their little ottoman to show Mason it wasn't scary. It only made Mason more scared, but Sydney liked it. It was the perfect size to prop her up in! (Of course I only left her for like 10 seconds, but still!)

Day 19: Guacamole

Another camera phone (bad) photo - but it's Mason enjoying guacamole, of all things, with Nana Vickie and Poppy Steele last night. Mmmm.

Day 18: Woods

I'm no landscape photographer, but I thought the light was pretty how it hit the grass in the woods behind my in-laws house.

Day 17: Sleeper

Now this is when the camera phone actually comes in handy - when moving to get the camera would disrupt the photo opportunity. Such as Sydney sleeping in my arms. Such a sweetie!

Day 16: Little Tree

*Sigh* I really wish my camera phone did a better job.
Anyway, this is one tree I've somehow managed to keep alive for several years. We bring it outside every summer for it to grow nice and big, and then keep it safe in the fall-winter-spring in our bedroom. Yay for plants!

Day 15: Uncle Sam

This is an antique Uncle Sam wind up toy of my mom's that I took a picture of on Independence Day. I like him.

Day 14: Night in WV?

There's a postcard that looks a bit like this that says, "Night in WV" that I always thought was funny. Truth is, I just forgot to take a picture yesterday. So this is all I got. And because I have OCD tendencies, I had to post something.

Day 13: Time Keeps on Slippin...

I was working on some photos for microstock today (I plan to fund my Wii purchase with microstock. I'm 1/3 of the way there!), and this is the only one I got that was even worth keeping. But one is better than none, right?

Day 12: Boo

Today the kiddies had their 2 and 15 month checkups. Sydney weighs a little over 10 pounds, and Mason just over 24. They're both doing great (except for Mason's refusal to walk - but as long as he's making progress, we're fine). Then they got their shots. Ouch.
